Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Highliner Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre in Prince Rupert, I had the opportunity to experience both the ambiance and culinary offerings of First Avenue Bistro, conveniently located within the hotel. As a travel writer and wellness enthusiast, I prioritize both comfort and quality, and I was pleased to find that the renovations have enhanced the room experience significantly. Though I had to leave early each morning, I made it a point to savor the breakfast on my final day. The variety was commendable, with traditional options and local flavors, though consistency varied-some items were notably more satisfying than others. The atmosphere at First Avenue Bistro is inviting and reflects the local culture, creating a cozy environment for relaxation. As I strolled through the historic city surrounding the hotel, I discovered various other dining establishments nearby, such as Naomi's Grill and Mama's Restaurant, tempting me back for another visit in the future. If you seek a blend of culinary exploration and a serene retreat, this destination may offer just what you're looking for-though I recommend checking the status of the gym facilities, as they were under renovation during my visit.
